a ride over what has been
described as 'the most beautiful
Mountain Pass in Great Britain'
regularly used on Top Gear for
test drives and a stunning
entrance to the run down
Swaledale.

of a technical run than an open
throttle ride. You'll not want
to rush this one as there are
endless photographic
opportunities .
The
Buttertubs section is open moor
do look out for Sheep, they have
very small brains!
Welcome to Swaledale.
Route Three - Tan Hill Inn &
Arkengarthdale Circuit
Take
a ride-out to the highest Inn in
Gt.Britain at 1732ft above Sea
Level. It's a remote as you can
get, the roads are narrow and
winding but boy they're fun!
Take the loop down
Arkengarthdale in Reeth and
across Redmire Tops back to The
Manor.
100km (approx 1 hr 45 min ride
time)
Buttertubs Pass, Tan Hill Inn,
open moor roads with good new
surfaces in many places.
Those of you riding up from
Ripon with be familiar with some
of these roads which are 'Built
for Bikers'. There's something
for everyone and on a good day
these roads cannot be beaten for
an exhilarating riding
experience.

Brewery Tours at Black Sheep and
Theakstons are best booked in
advance and no, you don't get
lots of free Beer!
The
return loop towards Catterick
Garrison from Bedale is less
well known but well worth a look
at.
